Raleigh, NC --- MIX 101.5’s Bill & Schatzie announced that they would give away free gas on Friday, March 24, 2000. We will start pumping the free gas at four different gas stations starting at 7:30am.

The locations will be announced Friday morning at 7:15am on MIX 101.5. The first 101 cars at each location will receive 10 gallons of regular unleaded fuel.

The Bill & Schatzie Early Morning Show is broadcast weekdays from 5:30am –9:00am. The idea came from listener’s phone calls, venting their frustrations on the current gas prices. We have given away free gas in the past but never before with such an impact.

Ten gallons of gas may not sound like much, but with an average cost of $1.60 per gallon it will save listeners a whopping $6,464. That’s a lot of cash to put in Triangle listener’s pockets.
