Mission Statement
As a new station in the Wilmington market, our mission is to provide the quality programming that CBS is known for, as well as the best entertainment that we can provide from syndicated programming. WILM is committed to community involvement through a variety of public service projects. Additionally, WILM serves the public from our state capitol through the WRAL Newscast throughout the day.

Overview
WILM-LPTV serves the coast of the Carolinas with CBS programming and local news & weather from WRAL-TV. WILM has been expanding its reach through cable and satellite providers since the station first went on the air in 2000 and works as an integral part of the coastal community.

We constantly strive to give our viewers and our clients the best services possible through hard work and fair business practices. The Capitol Broadcasting founders built a reputation for quality, excellence, honesty and integrity in broadcasting, and we are here to uphold that reputation.

By providing quality news, excellent programming and serving the public interest, we've built a strong station that benefits all the people we serve.

History
WILM-LPTV joined the CBC family in 1999, then known as WSSN. CBC began building a facility for the new station the following January, and WILM-LPTV signed on as local CBS affiliate on the coast of North Carolina on March 23, 2000. Sharing newscasts with sister station WRAL-TV, WILM broadened the scope of the award-winning WRAL news and weather teams.
