“I think too many people see our organization as serving only the blind. The blind community certainly is one of our most important audiences, but we also serve the growing population of residents who develop vision problems because of glaucoma, macular degeneration and other eye diseases associated with aging. Life expectancy keeps growing, but so do health issues. I just hope the Triangle Radio Reading Service will be around when I might need their services to keep me engaged and informed about my community.”
