WRAL-TV has six crews in Houston and a crew in Charlotte for live coverage of all the excitement leading up to the big game. WRAL-TV Anchor Lynda Loveland will co-anchor live in the WRAL Morning News Monday through Sunday, February 1, 2004, and WRAL-TV Reporter John Bachman will bring us post-game reports in the morning news Monday, February 2. Plus, WRAL will have live reports in the Noon news, afternoon news, and 11:00 news from WRAL-TV Anchors Debra Morgan, Jeff Gravley, and Bob Holliday. Photojournalist Jay Jennings will work his magic in stories from Houston and even New Orleans as he travels to Jake Delhomme's hometown for some family conversation. WRAL-TV Anchor Ken Smith will head to Charlotte, to get up close and personal with the hometown Panther fans.
WRAL will air 2 one-hour "Panthers on the Prowl" specials: Friday, January 30, 8-9 PM and Saturday, January 31, 7-8PM. Hosted by WRAL-TV Anchors Gerald Owens and Tom Suiter in the WRAL studio and Debra Morgan and Jeff Gravley in Houston, these specials are guaranteed to inform and entertain, bringing all of the excitement of Super Bowl XXXVIII into our viewers' homes. CBS has the game and WRAL will have all the post-game excitement in an expanded edition of the 11:00 News immediately following the premiere of Survivor: All-stars. WRAL is your Super Bowl station! WILM-TV in Wilmington will simulcast both specials and the expanded 11PM news after the game. WJZY-TV in Charlotte will air the Saturday special in the Charlotte area. |
