WRAL-FM Kicks Off Annual Radiothon WRAL-TV Holds Telethon in Support

WRAL-FM MIX 101.5 kick-off its 10th Annual Radiothon for Duke Children's Hospital on Thursday, September 4, 2003, with the help of sister television station, WRAL-TV in Raleigh. While WRAL-FM began broadcast the radiothon at 6am, WRAL-TV broadcast a special half hour at 7:30pm as well as break-ins throughout the day. The Radiothon lasts until Sunday, September 7th.

Both WRAL-FM & WRAL-TV broadcast live from Duke Children's Hospital including interviews with staff, patients and families. Heartwarming stories are being told first hand, with the plea for listeners to give. This radiothon is the largest fundraiser of the year for the hospital.

All contributions will go to fund research & family support programs as well as to purchase medical equipment and toys for the playroom.

WRAL-FM's morning personalities Bill Jordan & Sheri Logan are on the air from 6am to 11pm each day, along with many other MIX deejays.
