"There are marvelous stories from the people who live there... people who will tell you they can't imagine living anywhere else," said WRAL-TV Anchor and the documentary's host David Crabtree. A few of the people featured in "Ribbon of Dreams" include 87-year-old William Bowser, a third generation African American who was a member of the Coast Guard at the Pea Island Station along the Outer Banks. Also featured is 9-year-old Georgie Pecheptsov, a prodigy whose artwork sells for $32,000 per painting in Wrightsville Beach. |
