WRAL-TV will continue an over 40-year-old tradition on Friday, November 30, as the station turns its 300-foot TV tower into a 300-foot Christmas tree. WRAL-TV's Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel will flip the switch at approximately 5:55pm, bringing 2,890 colored lights to life for the holiday season.
"We realize that this will be a tough holiday season for a lot of people and therefore want to light the tower as a symbol of hope and strength, and to honor those who protect us," said WRAL-TV Senior Director/ Producer Leesa Craigie, the event coordinator. Please watch the Friday WRAL-TV newscasts to be a part of this Triangle tradition. |
