CBS Sports will produce 20 hours of the Grand Slam tournament for High Definition broadcast. The live HDTV telecasts from Flushing, New York, will be produced and transmitted independent of the CBS' analog broadcast coverage. The event will be broadcast in 1080i, the highest quality High Definition format. CBS Sports' Tim Brando and Tony Trabert will anchor. "We are thrilled to again be a part of this event and appreciate CBS Sports' dedication to High Definition sports programming,'' said MDEA Market Vice President Robert Perry. Combined with the U.S. Open Coverage, CBS Sports will present major HD broadcasts every weekend from early September through the first week of December. In the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville area of North Carolina, all CBS High Definition sports events will be available via WRAL-Digital. |
