The Durham Bulls Raise Money For The American Red Cross

WRAL-FM, WRAL-TV5,
FOX 50 and the Durham
Bulls have organized a fundraiser with the American Red Cross for
the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. The American Red Cross is in dire
need of donations to help the victims of the worst terrorist attack in
history.

These Capitol Broadcasting
Company entities are seeking monetary donations to help the Red Cross
provide food, clothing, shelter and counseling for victims and their families.
The funds will also help provide assistance to the thousands of Americans
stranded by the halt of air travel.
MIX
101.5, WRAL-TV5 and FOX 50 and the Durham Bulls will be taking cash donations
at Crabtree Valley Mall, Cary Towne Center and the Durham Bulls Athletic
Park from 6:00am-7:00pm today, Thursday, September 13. They will also
be helping people make appointments to give blood.
As a gesture of patriotism,
American flags will be handed out. This effort will kick off a longer
on-air campaign for donations to the ARC Disaster Relief Fund. Personalities
from all the stations and the broadcasting team from the ballpark will
be on hand at all three donation locations.

This collection effort
will launch a longer collection campaign. Donations can also be sent to
