MIX Duke Children's Hospital Radiothon Gets Underway

Bill, Schatzie and Angela kicked off the 8th Annual MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children's Hospital bright and early on Wednesday, May 30. MIX 101.5's Early Morning Show Crew, along with all WRAL-FM personalities and staff, will be on the air from May 30 at 6:00am until 6:00pm on Sunday, June 3.

The check presentation for the total pledges made during the Radiothon will take place just before 7:00pm on WRAL-TV5 on Sunday. MIX 101.5 has raised almost $3.5 million over the years through its Radiothon. This year MIX and Duke hope to surpass the $889,460 collected during the 2000 Radiothon.

A dedicated group of volunteers are manning the phones for the Radiothon.

For a special challenge this year, MIX has created a "15x12 Plan." Radiothoners are asking listeners to pledge $15 per month for 12 months, a total of $180, in honor of Duke Men's Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski's 15th year at Duke.
