Host Hot Stove Reception |
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans
hosted a Hot Stove Reception on Wednesday, January 24, from 7:00-9:00pm
at the Official All-Star Café in Myrtle Beach. More than 300 people attended
the event.

A silent auction featuring
sports memorabilia resulted in approximately $3000 for the Youth Diamond
Fund, the Pelicans primary charitable foundation. The Pelicans ticket
department reaped benefits as well, having a handful of people re-new
their season tickets and new season ticket holders were born.

The guest speaker
list included former Major League Pitcher Tommy John, New York Yankee
great Bobby Richardson, Atlanta Braves Director of Player Development
Dick Balderson, Pelicans Manager Brian Snitker, Pelicans Pitching
Coach Bruce Dal Canton and Carolina League President John Hopkins.
Pelicans Director of Media & Public Relations Bryan Dolgin emceed
the event.
Everyone enjoyed
complimentary heavy hors d'ouvres and $1 beverages. All season ticket
holders and advertising clients received free admission; the general
public could purchase tickets for $10.
