VELOCITY and FILE FORWARD Garner Success For Microspace

Microspace Communications has recently made several steps forward, evidencing the success of two of their premiere services. VELOCITY, which debuted early in 1997, and FILE FORWARD, which followed early in 2000, have been demonstrated assets to Microspace's menu of services.

Microspace announced in September that it has tripled its transponder capacity using Loral's Telstar 4 satellite; that capacity had already been doubled in 1999. The Loral Telestar 4 satellite offers full 50-state

coverage as well as a strong Caribbean footprint. In January, Microspace doubled its transponder capacity on GE Americom's GE-1 satellite. The satellite offers 50-state coverage and superior look-angles from coast to coast. Microspace Director of Sales Greg Hurt said, "This announcement is especially gratifying since we expected the doubling of our capacity which occurred in late 1999 to cover our needs into 2001. VELOCITY is clearly proving to be the ideal economic and technical solution for our business clients' distribution needs." Vice President and General Manager Joe Amor added, "[the increased capacities are] a direct reflection of the success of our VELOCITY satellite broadcasting service."
